Height of the Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower stands at 330 meters (1,083 feet) tall when measured to the tip of its antenna, making it one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world. The tower itself, excluding the antenna, measures 300 meters (984 feet) in height. Built between 1887 and 1889 for the 1889 World's Fair, it was the world's tallest man-made structure until the Chrysler Building was completed in New York in 1930.

The tower's height can vary slightly due to thermal expansion - it can grow up to 6 inches taller in summer when the iron heats up and expands. Originally intended as a temporary structure, the Eiffel Tower has become the most visited paid monument in the world and an enduring symbol of Paris and France.
